PENGARUH JENIS TANAH DAN PUPUK TERHADAP KANDUNGAN PROTEIN DAN AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN TANAMAN SUPAN-SUPAN (Neptunia oleracea)

Abstract

Supan-supan is a medicinal wetland weed that grows in the rawa lebak of South Kalimantan. Some residents of the Banjar tribe use supan-supan as vegetables. Supan-supan are traded in several traditional markets in South Kalimantan, but people still harvest them directly from nature. Research on soil types and fertilizers on protein content and antioxidant activity of cultivated supan-supan plants was carried out in Banjarbaru from May to June 2021. The experimental design used was a factorial completely randomized design. The first factor is soil type which consists of two levels, namely Inceptisol soil (t1) and Ultisol soil (t2). The second factor is the type of fertilizer which consists of three levels of treatment, namely water hyacinth bokashi fertilizer (p1), chicken manure (p2), and NPK fertilizer (p3). The combination of two treatments and three repetitions resulted in 18 experimental units. The results showed that the interaction between soil type and fertilizer had no effect on protein content and antioxidant activity of supan-supan plants. Supan-supan plants that received NPK fertilizer treatment produced the highest protein content of 6.00%, while supan-supan plants that received chicken manure treatment showed the highest antioxidant activity in the form of an inhibition percentage of 70.09% which was not significantly different from the water hyacinth bokashi fertilizer treatment by 64.45%.
